RE: Destin

We stayed in a campground in Destin that was very high end Very nice It had there own gate to the beach across the road I think we paid 60 or 70 a night but worth it. The place only had 30 or 40 Spots. Well landscaped and stamped concrete. What a great hide away..:C

RE: Video for entertainment

MOVIE REVIEW- Well, there 4 minutes and 53 seconds of my life I'll never get back! It was painful, like watching paint dry, while smacking your head with a rubber hammer! ;)
Agree! I didn't make it halfway before I stopped watching. Too corny.

RE: Disney Directions After Leaving I-75 Southbound

You won't get lost. Follow the Disney exit signs off I-75 and then the signage for the Magic Kingdom.
Once headed toward Magic Kingdom you'll want to look for the signs for Ft Wilderness (are you camping?).
If going to FW, make sure you're in the lane second from the right when approaching the big welcome arch over the road. The furthest right lane is for busses only.
You'll need to be in that right lane because the FW turn-off is immediately after passing through that entrance.
FW will be a mile or so down that road on your left.

RE: Destin

I live in the area and never heard of that one so I looked it up in our phone book. Yep. It's there.
I have never stayed there so I can't give any advice on it. However, there are several other Destin-area campgrounds that are excellent and there's a lot of info about them in this forum. Two of our favorites are Henderson Beach S.P. and Topsail Hill S.P.

RE: BMW 3 Series TOAD

The owner's manual for my 330 said the car cannot be towed flat. Must be towed with all four wheels off the ground.

RE: 2008 Carriage Domani -- Big Disappointment!

This really is disappointing news on the Domani. It looked like such a positive step forward, especially in the TT arena. Usually, upscale trailers are found in 5th wheels. I was glad to see Carriage produce the Domani in two trailer formats.
Not sure the "built on Friday" theory is in play here since many RV manufacturers pay their employees by the number of units produced per day. The rush to produce could very well mean a piece of******gets built on Wednesday.

RE: Do I need "full time" insurance?

Please don't follow the advice of people telling you to hide things from your insurance company.
If something happens you better believe the insurance company will look for an "out". If they suspect you misled them you will be in for an unpleasant fight.
Paying higher premiums certainly sucks. Worse than that is trying to get a check from your insurance company when they start dragging their suspicious feet. Time is on their side and they have the resources to wait you out.
This info is from a relative who works for a major insurer. He said they love collecting premiums from people who lie to them. It gives the Company a reason to deny claims.
Don't give them a reason to doubt you.

RE: DisneyWorld fans please come in.

Epcot if you're traveling without kids. It's more appealing to adults...unless you enjoy an endless stream of Disney characters running around, then I would choose the Magic Kingdom.
Many times we go to Disney World just to camp at Ft Wilderness and never go to the parks.

RE: Garmin - Is this to be expected?

My Garmin c330 just froze up one day. The reset button had no effect. Garmin wanted $150 just to look at it. I threw it away and bought a TomTom.

RE: Progressive Insurance

Another thumbs up for Progressive. No claims yet, but their rates were pretty good. Most companies wouldn't touch our tow vehicle. Progressive had no problem with it.

RE: Avoid Front Royal, VA!

So, all of Front Royal should be avoided because of this? Seems extreme.

RE: Don’t buy State Farm RV insurance

I'm not surprised the contents weren't covered. We had to purchase separate contents coverage. We're not with State Farm so I'm guessing that's common within the industry.

RE: Motor Home Prices

You can probably get a better deal than that right now.
We were recently at a Newmar dealership looking at Dutch Stars and the salesman was very honest about how desperate they are to sell something. He said to ignore the sale prices on the windshields and just make a reasonable offer because nothing has moved off their lot lately.

RE: Who do you like?

Walnut Ridge Family RV in New Castle, IN
Very good sales experience when we ordered/purchased our Mobile Suites. They have an on-site campground so you can try out your new rv before heading home. If you have any issues they'll send a tech to your site to fix it.
Very nice facilities.

RE: does everyone want an Airstream?

I think Airstream gets beat up more than any other brand of trailer.
I think Fleetwood does. Bigger target.
